New Member Reception The first Founding Member conference call

Founding Members Conference and Public Launch:
Mark your calendars. Portland, Oregon on the January 20. (Jan. 19 to 21 is Martin Luther
King, Jr. weekend). Plan to join us to meet face to face, elect the next board of
directors, and officially begin our work together.

Leadership Circle meets monthly by
teleconference. Leadership Circle is composed of Board of Directors, Board of Advisors,
and Project Leaders and former Board Members.

teleconference. Interim Board meets until January 20 when new Board Members will be
elected at Founding Member Conference.

Kim Wright, President and
Founder. Kim
speaks, writes, consults, and leads teleclasses
on topics related to the transformation of the profession. She also coaches lawyers
on transforming their law practices. She seeks to help lawyers design a law practice that
inspires them and integrates their spiritual and personal values into their professional
life. Kim also works with coaches of lawyers and provides peace-building
consultations including brainstorming about resolving difficult cases or handling
difficult clients. Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, she moved
to the Portland, Oregon area in 2000. She lives with her husband, an extended family
including two of her seven children, and Cat. When not answering Renaissance Lawyer email,

Therapeutic Jurisprudence: Call for Papers
The XXVIIth International Congress on Law and Mental Health will be held in
Amsterdam on July 9-12th. Professor John LaFond of the University of Missouri-Kansas City
will coordinate paper proposals with a TJ theme. He will be happy to group proposals with
others into panels or assist prospective presenters with their proposals. If you are

Conflict Resolution Symposium, Eleventh Annual Call for
Papers

Kentucky Bar Association: lawyers assistance program
director The Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) is seeking an experienced
attorney to serve in the newly created position of Lawyers Assistance Program (LAP)
Director. Applicants should possess expertise in working with professionals experiencing
impairments such as substance abuse, gambling addiction, mental/emotional illnesses such
as depression and other potentially debilitating disorders.
Excellent communications
and organizational skills required, as is a thorough knowledge of evaluation and treatment
concepts. The LAP Director may be an individual recovering from an impairment and,
if so, must have a minimum of five continuous years of successful recovery.
The LAP Director is a
full-time professional position and employees are not permitted to engage in private law
practice. The position reports to the KBA Executive Director and is ultimately
responsible to the KBA Board of Governors. The KBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Benefits include single health care coverage, paid sick leave, paid vacation leave and
retirement plan with the Kentucky Employees Retirement System. Salary commensurate with
